Log Message:
Removed (requested by pavel in ticket #645).

Merge GENERIC and ALPHA configuration, and remove the latter.  ALPHA was
supposed to be a superset of GENERIC, but sometimes it was not kept up to
date.

As proposed on port-alpha@.
