bingo!
/sbin/mount -o intr,-2,-4 localhost:/null /crypt
works for me. excellent!
however, this would indicate a bug in mount_nfs - i never tried -2
because the man page says:
-3 Use the NFS Version 3 protocol. The default is to try
version 3
first, and fall back to version 2 if the mount fails.
i used -4 to be in line with -6 (listen to ipv6) used on nfsd. i needed
to put this in to allow rpcbind to pass the request to the ipv4 service
instead of the (nonexistant) ipv6 one as the current code will choose
ipv6 if the interface is capable.
