Have you tried using build.sh ? It's designed to work on non-NetBSD
hosts as well as NetBSD hosts.
I've run through a build on RH 7.3, for example, and others have done
Solaris 8 and other systems. The support for this does have a tendency
to "rust" if it's not used, so if you want to do it yourself and find
any issues, please feel free to submit fixes. :-)
