Being able to have a RW file system on NANDs is a huge selling
point of Linux.
If someone is capable and willing to work on this I'd be glad to
donate an XScale SoC for testing.
FWIW, I have a skeleton MI nand/nor block flash layer with a "ram NOR
flash memory device" driver that works great for testing. Adding NAND
support to the 'ramfmd' driver shouldn't be that big of a deal.
