The recent discussion about the two-floppy install problem on the i386 gave
me an idea.
One nice thing that could be added to the install script would be to prompt
the user for the geometry of a MS-DOS partition, and add that to the disklabel.
That way if someone was going to have a MS-DOS partition as well, they could
put the install sets on the MS-DOS partition, and mount that partition when
it came time to do the acutal installation. This would also facilitate the
sharing of NetBSD and MS-DOS, which would make NetBSD more attractive to a
wide range of users.
I'm willing to do the work to make this happen, but what does everyone else
think of this idea?
