I hope this is the good place for this...
I've got some trouble intalling NetBSD 1.2 on my Amiga3000/10Mo/Retina.
I've prepared a swap partition, a root and a usr ones, using hdtoolbox and
the informations found in the NetBSD installation instructions.
I had to correct bad informations the disk itself gave to hdtoolbox :
the disk 'said' :
heads : 6
cyl : 94
sectors : 559
but NetBSD told me it should be 564 sectors (6*94)... then dumped.
I backed up my Quantum disk, then passed it under hdtoolbox to give it the
good #sectors. Re-partitionned, then re-launch loadbsd -b netbsd.
boot device >sd0
mount swap : ok,
panic: cannot mount root
db>
what should I do now ? Is there any problem with my disk ? the kernel ?
if I type "continue" at db prompt, NetBSD dumps.
please HELP ME !!! (I'm a desperate guy...)
thanks !
