ELK is one of the things that didn't build when I did a "make package"
for the 1.4 release on the pmax.  There's many things that didn't build,
and I haven't looked into why yet...

I'm about half way through browsing the S5SR (or whatever it's called),
and, as a non-lisp person, I'll leave it at "hmmm..." for now :-)
