I recently built a netbsd iso for my i386 box:
# cd /usr/src
# ./build -D DESTDIR -T TOOLDIR -R RELEASEDIR
# cd etc
# make iso-image
Only problem I had with it was that some of my PCs wouldn't boot off the
cdrom, so I had to use the floppies.
