I was very pleased to have the COM install disks for 1.6.
So far, worked very well.
Is there a reason why we can't support getting install sets by http?
Perhaps just an option to the ftp install to change "ftp" to "http"
would be enough for lukemftp to cope? Or is the install disk version of
too stripped to deal?
I'm very happy that we have >8 partitions in 1.6. Thank you.
I would ask that the COM install default to a non-colour version. It would
be much faster. I see it painting the screen with the background, and then
painting things with the foreground... at 9600 baud :-)
maybe there was an option that I could have done at boot time, i.e. changed
$TERM or something.
The timezone stuff has a problem --- the clock is updated every second,
and it is repainting the entire top of the screen. It takes nearly a second
to do that, so it appears to never stop. I can interact with it, so it
isn't a loss, just a comment.
How are the timezones sorted/ I kind of expected that hitting "C" would
take me to "Canada"...
cod.sandelman.ca now alive. Thank you.
