Have you ever used the older Solaris installer (say around 2.5 or
2.6ish)? I still think it's the best installer I've used.
The model that follows is:
system identification
set/package/software selection
disk layout
installation
and I think what David has done so far is on the right track. Being
able to say (in the future) that your root filesystem needs to be at
least N MB before choosing the disk layout seems to make a lot of sense
to me.
Simon.
