There is a very good book from some of the BSD authors called "The
Design and Implementation of the 4.4BSD Operating System" (Addison-
Wesley is the publisher). It wouldn't be free, but it would probably
be the most in-depth source. NetBSD is heavily derived from 4.4BSD.
