I guess Sun just used the Emulex chip, which is software-compatible
with the NCR 53c94.  Actually, I'd heard the name was "Enhanced
SCSI Processor", similar to the "Advances SCSI Controller" name
used by NCR... Whatever :-)

Just to nit-pick, the 2940 is an "ahc" ... (aha = Adaptec Host Adaptor,
ahb = aha++, ahc = ahb++, I guess :-)

I agree, however, that calling the NCR 53c810 driver "ncr" is
inappropriate.  It should be called "siop", since it's the
NCR SCSI I/O Processor.
