Well, "told" is a bit stronger than I had intended my suggestion (BTW,
thank you for accepting my advice).  My basic philosophy is that broad
design discussions of this nature are better carried out on public lists
like tech-kern, especially when there's likely to be interest beyond
just the NetBSD developers in the issue (as I think there is likely to
be on this one).
