Could everyone please back off for at least a couple of hours--if not
a day or two--and decide if you really have anything to add to this
discussion before you reply to anything else?  This did start out with
a reasonable technical discussion--perhaps with some misunderstandings,
but that's OK.

If your post is not about bus dma, at least change the subject line
when you send a follow-up.  For example, debates about performance
of systems is not related to bus dma.  For another example, whether
or not FreeBSD/alpha is running with a NetBSD kernel is unrelated to
bus dma.
