Then at that point root has given up privileges and that process can no
longer make use of any *remaining* VM space.  If SIGDANGER and/or
SIGOOVM are busy doing their thing then this process also becomes
subject to being elected as a resource-recovery "volunteer".

I.e. everything operates as it normally would.  Nothing special should
be done.
