I'm still trying to get a 1.4_ALPHA kernel to run beyond the
first "ls" command at the single-user prompt.  Right now the
kernel dies with a "watchdog reset" (botched kernel stack).

Now I'm trying to narrow the time window to the when this problem
first appeared.  It happened after Mar 26 (verified by me).
I'll post what I find here...
