Hi!

Can the Adaptec 7899 SCSI host adapter from NetBSD v1.5_BETA2 be supported
by NetBSD v1.4.2?

I'm running 1.4.2 on an i386 machine and have done some kernel
modifications. However, this is only a small machine and I'd like to run
some performance tests on a faster machine. A problem is that this machine
only have an "Adaptec 7899" which is not supported by 1.4.2. (I.E., the
sysinst on the installation disks did not find my HD)
Can the 1.5_BETA2 driver be used under 1.4.2? If so how can I do this?

PS! I have looked at how to port my modifications, but it seems to be a
large job.
