For what I considered a really minor change, is waiting a week necessary?
It's not like the change broke anything; it was more a stylistic issue.

My rant (which was a bit harsh to jhawk, and I apologise for that;
feeling unwell and getting near email is sometimes a bad combination)
was more intended to say that people often get focussed on the other
points in a given thread (ignoring a particular point), then lose track
of the focussed point in any case.

The points made by others about the problems of have *large* changes that
are made to the tree without discussion (or with minor discussion) are
valid though.
