You're breaking existing functionality*, if you require this, and it isn't
necessary for v6 operation.

*) Sun hostid used by licensed SunOS binaries running in COMPAT_SUNOS mode,
at least.
I can also imagine that the Draco hostid on NetBSD/Amiga is used in this
way.
