ah, yes.. this is the same softdep lossage i posted about shortly
after they first appeared.  and several others have seen... you
appear to have debugged this quite extensively though.  well done!


BTW, i believe charles has some fixes for fsck to remove the lossage
with `lost+found' growing "too large".
