it's fine. The screens dont have to be tiled onto the terminal, you can 
just switch from essentially one full screen window to another. it's
2 keystrokes instead of one to switch, which might be an annoyance to some
folks.. though perhaps with some clever keymappings or clever use of function
keys one could cut it down to one keystroke to switch panes.
