Normally I would agree with you. But like all good rules, it's best
honoured in the breach! I think with the current reorganization we just
have to accept that some things will be seriously broken for a longer
period than we would normally like. Further, I don't think this is
something that can easily be done on a branch either, so we will just have
to put up with the pain on the trunk for a while.
Having said that, I do think we need to be working actively on the issue
now that it has been brought to light.
