yes, this is one of the things on my todo list, but at this point
I'm trying to focus on problems that absolutely have to be fixed
before the next release, and this isn't one of them.

however, I suspect that we'll be chasing toolchain problems for
a while after I fix the remaining critical UVM/UBC/pmap issues,
so I might still get to this before the next release.
