I just hit something similar (current kernel built sunday, wored other
times. Apart from noticing that ifconfig was mentioned, I wasn't in a
position to investigate further. I am using a sadly out-of-date
userland (couldn't get 1.5 branch to build.
(Speaking of which, is there a kdb for gdb bigots page somewhere?)
