That is a good start! ;-)
Are there any intentions/desires of adding POSIX message queues to
NetBSD as well (and of course the requisite macros to implement shm_*() :-)
(assuming someone can be found to write them)?
Richard Stevens' user-land implementation of POSIX message queues is
probably available under a suitable license for NetBSD, though it
requires POSIX mutexes and condition variables, and realtime signals (as
well as of course memory mapped I/O to do the sharing part). It has
some limitations, but it might be a good enough start.
