don't put it in Makefile.kern.inc. i'm saying so not because you
can't (you can if you really want to), but because i feel it's better
to keep it clean and localize any changes you want.
fwiw, adding this to your kernel config file:
makeoptions NORMAL_O="cp ${.ALLSRC} $@"
should do the trick. :)
