Same for me. I own a Thinkpad X30 since almost a
year and I ported the Linux TCPA code to my
NetBSD-1.6.1 (Using 1.6ZE now) to try it. But
all the driver could do at that time was seeing
the chip and sending a few bytes to it with no
result. I have left the ported code as this since.

I'm gonna download your code and try it on my
machine. Will post results :)
