Stop it already. NetBSD is an expert-friendly operating system. We give
you tools to do your job. If you happen to maim yourself while attaining
proficiency, that's the way you learn. Making lo a cloning interface
allows an user who needs that functionality to easiler get it. It also
moves NetBSD a little bit forward in not requiring editing a config file
for trivial changes.
