I saw one once. It was the console of some hardware I was tasked with
porting NetBSD to.
I ended up going the funky-bus-space route - I created a new bus-space
just for the purpose of attaching the console com instance to. Worked
fine, once I figured out enough of the bus-space paradigm to get it
right. :) (No, the port never went live. The project was canned, and
I don't think I even have any of the code any longer.)
