I regularly mount FreeBSD file systems under NetBSD and read and write
to them. This weekend I had need for a LiveCD meant to boot a FreeBSD
laptop and mount its directories. This has been causing panics. It
only seemed to cause panics if I wrote to the disk. It usually
happened a minute or so after writing. I assume that was when sync
actually wrote to the drive. The write succeeded by the way even
though the drive had to be fsck'd.
I was able to work around this for my purposes this weekend but I would
like to help track down the problem. Before I issue a PR I thought I
might see if anyone recognized this issue and if there was anything I
should be doing other than creating a DEBUG kernel and making the dump
available online.
