Yes.

Actually, I've done that once. But not on this installation. All
permissions are as they are specified in binary sets.
(Again, I remind people that the problem is not permanent. It comes
and goes (the latter in face when I log out with my normal user)). It
the permissions were screwed up, I believe that the problem would be
more consistent.
