Hi,
I just encountered a problem with my PC-engines WRAP board, with funny
things happening to my systems' time
(thread: http://mail-index.netbsd.org/netbsd-help/2007/11/29/0000.html )
I have to use a kernel compiled with "options TIMER_FREQ=1189200" and
do "sysctl -w kern.timecounter.hardware=i8254" to get a working system.
Using a kernel with "options NO_TSC_TIME" does NOT have the effect I
thought it would have. IF "options NO_TSC_TIME" is NOT intended to
disable the use of the TSC, then it would be nice to have another kernel
compilation option to do so.
I'm not quite sure if any of this would be considered a bug, but as
Soekris (NET4501) users /may/ also be affected, it thought it prudent to
drop a note here.
with kind regards,
Theo.
