To add some more data. During testing on a borrowed dual quad core I hit
similiar issues with both -o async and -o sync. So this problem is not
specific to WAPBL, but a certain amount of IO stressing is needed to
reach it. E.g. on that machine it was sometimes enough to copy the
template for a build chroot, around 500MB overall, for each of the 16
chroots. This can easily fit into the available memory.
