Fixes for kern/40018 -- any chance of getting these pulled into the -current and 5.x trees?

        Hello.  I submitted a couple of patches for kern/40018, hardware
checksum failures on bge(4) controlled chips, which fix the problem.  These
patches have been running on a number of high volume production servers for
a week with babsolutely no problems and all hardware capabilities  enabled.

        I've included the patches, and some of the thread in the bug report.

        If someone could pull these patches into the -current tree and request
a pullup into the 5.x branches, that would be wondderful.  The patch is
small, and I've included versions for the 5.x tree as well as -current.
