Does an error occur if you try to put, say, le0 and le1 on the same
subnet?  If so, I'd say that's broken to begin with; if not, I'd say
adding an alias should work the same as bringing up another interface
in this respect.  (I would simply try bringing up a second interface,
but I don't have a machine handy with two BROADCAST interfaces in it.)
