I have a similar problem with a Thinkpad 600, but it *does* suspend if
I put the WaveLAN (mine's not turbo) into "power-saving" mode with a
"wiconfig -i wi0 -P 1" first. (I might have to have the laptop on battery
power... I have the wiconfig in my /etc/apm/battery script, so I usually
just pull out the plug, then suspend)
