So, in /etc/ppp/options I have something like:

/etc/ppp/isp.chat:
ABORT ERROR
ABORT BUSY
ABORT 'NO CARRIER'
ABORT 'NO DIALTONE'
REPORT CONNECT
'' 
atm1 OK
atdt<phone number here> CONNECT

/etc/ppp/chap-secrets:
<chap-user-name> * <chap passwd>
