I used to admin a large number of bridged DSL users, before I got a clue
and switched everybody to PPP-over-ATM. In every case where there was "IP
swiping" or "theft", it turned out to be an accident on the part of
either the customer, or the tech who had helped with setup. Maliciousness
is rare; stupidity far, far more common.
