i read your statement as:
- create another ifnet called "wi0/802.11", which uses the same
hardware as "wi0", and has different BPF behavior.
and i didn't like it as we would have separate link-local scope for
"wi0" and "wi0/802.11".
did you mean "pseudo interface *name* used within tcpdump(8)"?
