Well, not _never_... In Texas, a BRI costs about the same as two POTS
lines per month, and there are no per-minute charges for local calls.
I still have and use my ISDN line for voice service, 'cuz I have an
ISDN phone with lots of buttons and lights, which I think is pretty
cool :)

I believe Tennesee has the same sort of pricing scheme. I do remember
hearing that in the rest of the US, ISDN calls have per-minute charges
(at least during some part of the day). On the other had, I gather
that in most of Europe, even POTS calls have per-minute charges.
