Amend that. jmcneill@netbsd.org told me that Linux supports it. He has a
very similar card, pci product id 1229 as opposed to my 1227, and his works,
using the eepro100 driver.

All the zero-dollar nics I've ever seen tend to be realtek 8139s.
I don't much like the 8139's.
