There are Atheros chips that support 802.11g. I couldn't tell you
a part number.
I cannot think of a single barrier to supporting wireless drivers in
NetBSD. One just has to commit a lot of time to it. I don't have large
chunks of time to commit to 802.11 drivers like I used to. I am happy
to provide technical support for anyone who would take on these projects:
* finish rtw (it seems likely that OpenBSD will have this driver
before we do)
* eliminate the delay loops and race condition in wi
* add a USB attachment for wi
* port pff (Prism 54)
* add ADM8211B support (ADM8211 has AP capability) to atw
* port TKIP/WPA/... support to NetBSD
* add a roaming facility to NetBSD (a daemon and some
kernel support)
