Hi
This week I bought new linksys wrt54Gl router.
My laptop has ipw card.
ipw0 at pci2 dev 2 function 0: Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini-PCI Adapter
(rev. 0x04)
ipw0: interrupting at irq 10
ipw0: 802.11 address 00:04:23:74:4b:5c
ipw0: 11b rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps
without protection I can connect to my router and everything works fine.
I don't know how to setup my linksys router and netbsd wpa_supplicant.conf.
If I want to use WPA or WPA2 wifi encryption.
for now I configure my linksys with this:
Security Mode: WPA2 Personal
WPA Algorithms: TKIP+AES
WPA Shared Key: xxxxx
Group Key Renewal: 3600
and in my wpa_supplicant.conf I have:
# used by wpa_cli(8) (see 'troubleshooting' below)
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
ctrl_interface_group=0
# boilerplate, essentially. see the example for a walkthrough
eapol_version=1
ap_scan=1
fast_reauth=1
# 'network' is a group of APs sharing a SSID
network={
ssid="linksys"
scan_ssid=1
# 'RSN' == 'WPA2'
proto=RSN WPA
# that's 'pre-shared key'
key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
# lists ciphers to try. CCMP is AES
# pairwise is for client <-> AP traffic, group is for broadcasts
pairwise=CCMP TKIP
group=CCMP TKIP
psk="xxxx"
}
Also in my /etc/ifconfig.ipw0 I have
!/usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant -B -i ipw0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
when I run wpa_supplicat in debug mode (/usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant -dd -i ipw0 -c
/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf) I got this output.
