I should say I've seen the broadcom problem on multiple 745's plugged 
in to multiple cables/networks (one of them is currently at home the 
others at work).

A further data point: I've plugged an intel "wm" into one of the 745's 
and it works.  However I have 80 of these machines that I need to get 
going in the near future.
