Re: ipnat ftp proxy suddenly stopped working

Things got weirder yesterday evening. More network stuff stopped working, LDAP uer resolution and DNS name resolution failing made the box close to unresponsive. I managed to log in to the physical console; ifconfig down/up of the physical interface cured the problem.
I'm unsure whether the FTP proxy problem persisted; it either did or re-appeared shortly after.

This still holds.
I did look at some vmstat -m output to no avail.
