Right, ios should have rung a bell in my head.
The line in question in the source is:
  cerr << hex << err << dec;

As this is really minor, I have commented it out now.
The question still is why this is missing on arm32. Btw, my libraries are
from the UVM snapshot. I'll get in touch with Mark about this.
Now I have run into another problem, anybody who wants to know about it
should read port-arm32 as it really belongs there.
