I compiled and ran the mpg123 on my Alpha.  I works, sort of.

I get a bunch of can't rewind 14bit, 2bit, etc.  and the sound I awful!  Not
jerky or clipped, as you would find on a slow machine, but almost hiss with a
hint of music in the background.

I suspect the Alpha's 64bit arch doesn't like mpg123.

Anyone else have success using mpg123 on the Alpha port?
