Hmm.  I used to have all local stuff in /usr/local before pkgsrc existed.
Now I like the fact that pkg stuff goes under /usr/pkg and the "really"
local stuff (like my own binaries and scripts) under /usr/local.  I now
consider the pkg stuff a "part of NetBSD", so they're not really my own
local hacks, they need to be preserved when upgrading NetBSD, they don't
even need to be backed up as carefully as the real, unique local files.
(Well, there are config files under /usr/pkg, so this isn't 100% accurate.)
