I believe that's implemented in 2.5, which is currently only available
via CVS as a beta thingy.

2.4.2 seems to contain mostly small improvements.  The biggest new
feature that I saw is the ability to use bar-code readers and
associate a particular bar-code label with a particular Amanda label.
Of course, my current job doesn't have a library with a bar-code
reader.  :(
