i'd like to butt in here, since this is sort of my fault.

i still use current pkgsrc on a 1.3.3 machine.  that's not a -current
machine and hence, does not have the new cksum.  it might one day, but
not any time soon.

i need the digest pkg.  others do too.  unless we wanna stick with
only md5 hashes.
